Bare Necessities

At some point we should decide who is bringing what. Those with LV experience I'll look for some advice.

Here are some random items, please give input as to their importance:
  1. Liquor to keep in room- Cheaper to bring a bottle or buy there? Maybe everyone bring a bottle of their favorite? Need input on this one.
  2. Air mattresses?- Do we want to bring an air mattress or two? Depending on floor, I can sleep on anything (windowsill, etc.) But four days on floor might be rough.
  3. PS3- This is probably a no brainer. Whoever brings PS3, can we get others to bring controls?
  4. PS3 games- As video game Czar, I'm going to need assistance bringing the latest games. NCAA 10 (Ty, Lewis?) Etc.
  5. Breakfast Bars/ Snacks?- Again, not being a veteran of Vegas, is it necessary to pack something like this to keep in room, or is it easy to purchase something there?
  6. Dress Clothes- One set of something other than jeans and sweatshirts or more?
  7. iPod dock- For iPod game, obviously.
  8. Bathing suit and/or loin cloth?- No clue? Do we have a pool? Is it warm enough out?
  9. First cycle of herpes medicine- Self explanatory.
  10. Roofies- ditto.

Please expand on my list. Updates will be posted. Need some direction and then we can start assigning responsibilities.

  1. Nicely done Mike. I have been there 6 or 7 times and remember 1 or 2 of them.
    1. Alcohol prices probably not too much different on the strip and would be a lot to pack. Maybe pack a bottle of favorite if you have room, but don't worry about it.
    2. Air mattresses for those that have small ones (air mattresses that is) is probably a good idea. If anyone thinks things will be crazy crowded, there are rooms next door at Luxor for 120 a night or nearby cheaper hotels (Tropicana, etc.)
    3. PS3 a no-brainer. This is all Steve packed for my bachelor party. Up for it again Steve?
    5. Pack the food you can fit. There are "ABC" convenience stores and CVS, etc. available for the rest.
    7. I will bring the iPod dock (s)
    8. Bring the banana hammock - looks like it is 70 and sunny that week.
    9. I wrote 7 prescriptions for herpes meds. Will fill them before take off.
    10. Otherwise, pack an inflatable goat and an extra liver.
    Let me know your thoughts

  2. Looks like there are iPod docks in the room too.
Forgot to add funnel to the list.
In-mirror TV looks pretty cool for whoever sleeps in the bathroom.

  3. Some excellent thoughts by Ty and Norm so far. I too have frequented Vegas many times, thinking this will be # 8 for me.

    Funnel is an absolute must.

Liquor? I hardly know her, but cannot wait for Jaeger bombs.

Below are some other sporadic comments.

I can certainly bring a PS3 controller if needed and wish I could pack the whole Rock Band set up but might be a bit pricey for an extra few pieces of luggage. Air mattress seems to be a great idea but will also be tricky to pack. I think if you think the room will be crowded, you need to do take another online tour. In room I-pod docks and TVs is simply amazing. What kinds of food/beverages are we thinking? Also keep in mind that a lot of our time there will not be spent in the room, although none of us have ever stayed in a room this amazing, so that could skew things a bit. What kinda of cash are we gonna owe for the room btw? Also as gambling commish, do we want to have a bachelor party NCAA pool for money or for bragging rights? Also anyone who needs gaming tips or wants to see someone get in over his head at the tables, stick with me. 70s isn't exactly pool weather for those of us that haven't endured endless blizzards this Winter, but The Sweater could make an appearance. Do we have set plans for one night to do something upscale that we'll need nicer clothes for and I'd suggest leaving the sweats at home despite the comfort :) Can't wait to hear more!
